I had a pair of old Rachel Ashwell table lamps in the back of my closet, they were from about 10 years ago and I had saved them because I thought someday my daughter would love to have them. So the other day I pulled them out, polished them up and made some really fun lampshades for them. I went to the fabric store and found this kind of 3 dimensional fabric in white, probably for wedding gowns, in the shape of roses. I used spray glue to attach the fabric to the plain white shade and then added banding to the top and bottom, I realized that I could have just as easily folded the fabric over and not used the banding at all, and it would have looked as nice. I was really happy with the outcome, and so was my daughter. She is using them at her house in the bedroom.

I had also been toying with some pillow designs, so I made a few to go with her new lamps.
This one is like a french postcard, but I added the rose and the crown to the postcard.
Thank You Graphics Fairy.
I made her a plain postcard pillow, and then her favorite, a leopard print pillow with some very interesting
embellishments on the ends. She was pleased with it all. And her bedroom is now
all glammy just the way she likes it.

Very pretty, Brigitte! I love the fabric you used on the lampshades! The lamps themselves are gorgeous and the shades suit them.
